Saltbush is looking for dynamic casual Youth Support Workers to provide holistic care in a 24/7 supported bail accommodation facility.
You will need a current Australian drivers licence and a police check and Ochre Card, or the ability to gain them.
Completed or current study in qualifications in Community Services, or relevant experience is highly regarded
Ideal candidates will have:
- excellent engagement skills & practical role modeling ability
- experience in working with young Aboriginal people and their families
- a strong desire to motivate, inspire and positively influence behavioural changes amongst youth
- ability to create a homelike atmosphere and perhaps contribute your relevant creative leisure or homemaking interests into our centre
- knowledge of trauma informed care
- an understanding of strengths based practices that promote physical, psychological, and emotional safety and create opportunities for youth
