The Client Support Officer would be required to provide direct employment support services to clients, including skills assessments, job search, training and support while colleagues are on leave, off sick or during a period of transition when staff leave the organisation. 

Key responsibilities include

• The role would entail meeting with clients while other EC's are on annual leave or off sick to ensure a consistent service delivery is maintained;
• Working with jobseekers to identify their skill sets and employment opportunities;
• Assisting jobseekers to address any barriers to employment;
• Implement a range of job marketing activities towards businesses aimed at sourcing sustainable employment for our jobseekers; 
• Promoting the work skills of people with a disability to employers and businesses
• Where necessary provide on-the-job training and support;
• Support employers to realise a strong job match for people with a disability in the open labour market
• Engage and motivate jobseekers;
• Establish positive working relationships with relevant stakeholders including schools, parent groups, employers and other community service providers.

To be successful you will have:

• The ability to achieve KPI performance targets which result in long term sustainable employment for people with a disability
• An ability to think quickly and to problem solve for both the person with a disability and the business they are working in
• Advanced communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
• High level organisation and time management skills
• Effective problem solving skills
• Knowledge of referral services
• Knowledge of the local labour market and how to utilise it to gain appropriate employment for clients;
• A client centred approach
• Resilience, tenacity and a team player;

Essential requirements:

• Eligible to work in Australia
• Current driver's licence
• Criminal history check (if requested)
• Working with Children Check – blue and yellow cards
