This exciting management opportunity is for an independent, profit-for-purpose community-inclusion organisation, with community contacts across Australia.

They achieve this through planning and service delivery, through facilitating and strengthening informal supports social and employment networks and community building, and through participation in sector related policy development and review. This position exists to:

• Provide leadership, supervision, management and strategic direction to expand the After-Hours Response and other support Programs
• Develop and drive these programs positioning for growth and profitability internally and externally
• Establish successful relationships and partnerships with service providers and funding bodies to develop innovative, best practice services that truly meet the needs of people we support
• Ensure the consistent provision of quality service
• Promote VHC with the DVA Assessment teams to grow the service in the North-West Metro and rural/remote Victoria

What we need from you:

The ideal candidate will have good business acumen in developing and negotiating with both corporate and government funding agencies.

• Must have a strong Business mindset - including sound knowledge of financials and cost implications
• Strong analysis and business development acumen to market the program and to negotiate contractual outcome
• Demonstrated experience in managing client focused programs, within the community sector is an added advantage
• Ability to think strategically and to translate strategic direction into operational action
• Strong staff management and development skills, including the ability to manage, motivate and support a team to achieve program goals
• Willingness to work out of hours including weekends to provide supervision and direction to the team
• Tertiary qualifications in social sciences, human services, business management, service development or a related field
