About the Role...
Working within a family group home, we are looking for experienced, considerate, patient and compassionate individuals to support children between the ages of 4-18 through a therapeutic model of care.
Working on a 3 day on 3 day off roster you will be responsible for providing a supportive home environment for the children in your care. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the household, including all household tasks such as shopping, cleaning, school runs and cooking family meals along with providing care and support to the children within their home. You will be supporting the children with recreational activities as well as taking them to and from appointments and contact arrangements.
About You...
We are looking for people who have empathy in action and who have experience in, and know how to run a house and care for children from a variety of social backgrounds and difficult experiences that have brought them into the care of the Department of Child Protection.
You must also hold;
- A recent National Police Certificate
- First Aid Certification
- Manual Handling Certification
- Working with Childrens Card
- 395 Check or willing to obtain one
- Non-Violent Crisis intervention training or equivalent
