Who are we?

We are a not-for profit organisation operating an innovative new program, working to deliver culturally appropriate, tailored programs, designed to both increase the number and range of carers across NSW and support them through their journey as foster carers, guardians and adoptive parents, enabling them to achieve the best possible outcomes for the children in their care.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Engagement and Advocacy Manager this role is accountable for the performance and outcomes of day-to-day operations within the program. Your primary function is to provide motivation, direction, leadership and performance measurement to a multi-disciplinary team across the three key functional areas of Carer Support, Training and Marketing.  

We need an exceptional leader who operates with integrity to build processes that deliver the highest quality of service for the sector and manage KPI’s to ensure we deliver our promise to carers across the state. You will be responsible for program compliance; training delivery and quality; the execution of program events (ie. agreed training sessions and recruitment campaigns) and ensure that all operational employees understand external messaging and communications activities.

You will proactively drive and participate in the development and improvement of systems, processes and service delivery within the organisational model and program guidelines, and be involved in ongoing strategic planning, financial management and improvement planning. As we are committed to providing relevant and tailored support to our Carers, you will extract and analyse data from the CRM and work closely with the Training Manager to identify training requirements.

This newly created role, with a high level of responsibility offers the right person a broad platform to significantly improve the service experience of Carers and manage a crucial program that will ultimately facilitate systemic change within the Out of Home Care sector.

To be considered for and ultimately be successful in this role, you will need to have:  

  • Qualifications in Business Management
  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of consistent experience supervising, leading and developing a multi-disciplinary team 
  • A successful track record of establishing and maintaining the operational delivery of a program with demonstrable service delivery KPIs
  • Budget Management
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector and/or government department
  • A sound knowledge of communications /marketing principles and practices
  • Demonstrable skills in conflict resolution and change management
  • Outstanding written and interpersonal skills
  • Thorough attention to detail
  • An ability to influence senior stakeholders and colleagues at all levels
  • Proven organisational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines and budgets
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislations and policies, including a commitment to continuous improvement and WH&S Principles
  • An understanding  the urgency of program and project management principles and practices
  • Exposure to and understanding of the principles and process concerned with data protection, privacy and data sharing, preferably gained within an NFP or Government organisation within NSW

The role will be engaged on a fixed-term basis of up to 3 years, with an opportunity for extension, subject to program duration. In exchange for your commitment and experience, we offer a family friendly and flexible working environment.
