TaylorCare has partnered with a large not-for-profit community service provider in VIC which delivers a range of services within homelessness within family violence and financial support programs through multi-disciplinary teams with a focus on the provision of effective and seamless services to clients.

The Area Manager has overarching operational management responsibility for all services delivered from Hume and Goulburn and the implementation and achievement of the objectives outlined in the organisation's strategy. You will provide leadership and support to the existing team while also networking with stakeholders to grow the service in the Goulburn Valley Area. 
  
To be eligible to apply:
  • Degree in Social/Community Services/Management
  • Broad knowledge of the field of homelessness and is committed to an inclusive approach to policy and procedural planning.
  • Experience of delivering and supporting a high standard of staff supervision across a range of duties and disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of budgets, financial management and control.
  • Extensive network of industry contacts to provide information, peer support and advice
  • Able to provide sector leadership and contribute to a well-developed evidence base to support regional resource planning.
  • A commitment to lead effective responses to disadvantage in the community and work diligently toward ending chronic homelessness.
  • Able to lead a staff team with energy and enthusiasm, fostering a positive and loyal approach to the service
  • Experience of appointing and supervising staff across a range of programs and an understanding of the legislative and ethical requirements of staff employment responsibilities.
  • Has a broad understanding and well developed capacity for analyses of homelessness programs and the homelessness service system.
Your role will involve the following:
  • Provide effective staff management and active leadership in the implementation of operational service plans and their translation into effective program performance outcomes.
  • Lead the integration of services to provide the highest level of services to clients.
  • Establish, develop and manage co-operative partnerships and co-ordinate partnerships, including the monitoring of service agreements, and the creation of sound stakeholder management plans
  • Monitor service use and ensure effective mechanisms are in place to measure satisfaction with the service experience of all stakeholders including people accessing services.
  • Recruit, supervise and support staff reporting to this position ensuring that appropriate training, performance monitoring and appraisal to meet agreed goals and duty of care responsibilities are maintained
  • Maintain responsibility for compliance with all relevant Funding providers policy and procedures

Salary package on offer is $120,000 - $130,000 per annum + super depending on qualifications and experience.
