BRC Social Care is seeking a Community Mental Health / Homelessness Worker for a temporary assignment for a respected and reputable NFP organisation in the City area (Mon-Fri, 40hrs).

The Organisation

Our client is a community based organisation supporting people with a mental illness who live independently in their homes.

The role

We are looking for a community mental health outreach worker to carry out assessments, create goal plans and support clients to gain independent living skills.


The ideal candidate

• Recent experience supporting people in an outreach setting.
• Tertiary qualification in Human Services or a related area.
• Understanding and sensitivity to the issues relevant to people with a mental illness and complex needs living in the community
• A proven ability to engage with consumers, set clear professional boundaries, communicate plans, negotiate agreements, resolve conflict and follow up arrangements.
• A current Driver’s License.
• Be willing to undertake and criminal record check and a NSW Working With Children Check.
• Be available to start immediately.
