The role
 

• Multiple Casual & Part-time DSW positions available
• Team Leader role available
• Provide direct care and support to two 10yr old boys with Autism. The boys may exhibit some challenging behaviours, therefore you will be experienced in reading and following positive Behaviour Support Plans
• Provide assistance with a range of activities including daily living, community participation, personal care and improved living skills

Essential/Minimum Requirements: 
 

• Minimum 12 months’ paid experience as a Disability Support Worker (DSW)
• Experience working with challenging behaviours and understanding a Behaviour Support Plan
• Willingness to work across a rotating roster 24x7 including Active Night Shifts
• Willingness to work across Hornsby & surrounding area
• Hold a current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain one prior to commencement)
• Hold a current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain one prior to commencement)
• Hold a current National Police Check, no more than 6 months’ old (or willing to obtain one prior to commencement)
• Hold a current Driver’s License

Additional Requirements for Team Leader Role:

• Min. 4 years' paid experience either as a DSW or Team Leader
• Min. Cert IV in Disabilities (or equivalent)
• Proven experience managing staff
• Proven experience managing challenging behaviours
• Proven experience in reporting and compliance
