The position

Your role as our Therapeutic Case Manager will be to provide specialist case work and therapeutic intervention for children and young people, their families and carers, using contemporary practices, particularly in Preservation and restoration.

Preservation, Restoration and early intervention focused position

This position is focused on experienced practitioners with experience in providing Preservation, Restoration and early intervention focused therapeutic case management to families and young people with high to complex support needs, as well as providing support services that helps strengthen families, to help stop children entering the care system.

In addition to working across the early intervention and restoration space, this role will overlap and work alongside colleagues in the foster care field as well.

Location

The position is located at Bankstown and is classified at the SCHCDS Level 5 pay level, with access to generous salary packaging.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required

Applicants must be able to clearly demonstrate the following in their application

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline such as Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology or Family Therapy
  • Extensive experience working with and providing quality assessment and case management services to child at risk families or children/young people in out-of-home care
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of contemporary case management practice
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution and mediation skills and excellent interpersonal and team work skills
  • Well-developed communication skills (oral and written)
  • Sound computer literacy skills
  • Strong commitment to, and passion for the mission of a Catholic agency and willingness to work in alignment to the principles of Catholic Social Teachings and other Church teachings
  • Current Working with Children Check clearance
  • Current and valid driver’s licence and access to a well-maintained vehicle which will be used for work purposes
