Your new role:
The In-Work Support Specialist will provide tailored and culturally appropriate in-work support for a variety of cohort groups to maximise employment retention. This role will be supporting local businesses and employees achieve their employment goals by offering a solution focused support program.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Assess placements to identify risks to employment fall out and develop pro-active strategies to mitigate these risks
• Deliver one on one mentoring support to Future Employees in employment
• Work with employers to address any issues in the workplace that may be affecting the Future Employees work and facilitate mediation if required
• Perform all duties in an effective and timely manner in order to enable accurate forward planning each week to ensure that weekly contact schedules are completed by close of business each Friday.
• Actively seek out further employment or other opportunities for My Pathway when engaging with employers or community stakeholders

What you’ll need to be considered:
• Confident negotiation, communication and coaching skills
• Experience working in remote communities
• Exceptional understanding of the challenges faced by disadvantaged job seekers and demonstrated ability to think outside the box to provide proactive solutions
• Demonstrated ability to successfully engage with people from a diverse range of backgrounds
• Sound knowledge of employment services programmes and recruitment practices
• Current Driver's Licence, Police Check and relevant Child Suitability Card or ability to get one
