About the Role

Our Employment Coaches are part of a national team that provide guidance around creating positive employment outcomes for our Supported Employees. By being the first point of contact and taking a person-centred approach, our Employment Coaches at Endeavour Foundation make a real difference in the lives of others every day.

The creation of a new role has created an opportunity for a passionate Employment Coach to join our Business Service at Geebung and Redcliffe on a permanent, full time basis, (ideally 3 days Geebung and 2 days Redcliffe.

As an Employment Coach you will:

  • Provide on-going day to day vocational support to employees
  • Coach and deliver training initiatives for our valued Supported Employees
  • Provide relevant training and ongoing advice so that employees can continue their employment in a positive supportive environment.
  • Be the first point of contact for families and carers
  • Establish a structured induction program for the business unit and deliver the training to supported employees
  • Play an integral and proactive role in the recruitment and selection of supported employees
  • Maintain accurate reports and ensure compliance is being met as per funding arrangements, standards and organisational requirements
  • Assist in managing challenging behaviours in the workplace
  • Identify relevant and appropriate skills development and career goals for Supported Employees.

What you need to succeed:

  • Demonstrated experience in coaching individuals and delivering training, preferably those with a disability
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
  • Certificate IV in Disability or tertiary qualifications in human services (desirable)
  • Strong administration and computer skills
  • Enjoy the personal rewards associated with a people-centred organisation
  • Able to juggle multiple commitments in a dynamic environment
  • Experience with Positive Behaviour Support framework
  • Possess excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Highly developed understanding of the disability sector
  • Respond positively and adapt to a rapidly changing environment

Prior to commencing with Endeavour Foundation you will be required to undertake a National Criminal History check and hold or be willing to obtain a positive notice from Disability Services (Yellow Card) and Working with Children Check (Blue card).
