Headway ABI Australia is requesting expressions of interest from people interested in lifestyle support work which involves working with people with Acquired Brain Injury. Moving forward into the NDIS with person-centred model of practice.

 

Skills and Conditions

  • Working with Adults with an Acquired Brain Injury.
  • Your role will include in-home support, personal care, learning and life skills, activities of daily living and other duties as per the Position Description.
  • Delivery of Active person-centred and self-directed supports in the community
  • Understanding of the Queensland Department of Communities - Human Services Quality Standards, and applying these standards in the workplace.
  • Understanding of the NDIS

 

About the Role

  • Average working hours between 20-50 hours per fortnight (with the opportunity for extra shifts based on business needs).
  • Ongoing training opportunities
  • Earn between $26 - $39 an hour plus sleepover allowance
  • Salary Sacrifice Package Agreement will be available.

 

Applicant Requirements – All are required

  • Department of Communities Disability Services - Yellow Card or Blue Card (or willing to apply for).
  • Current Queensland Driver's License
  • Hands on experience

Desirable:

  • Diploma in Disability/Community Services (or Certificate IV/III in Disability Services/Aged Care with equivalent industry knowledge).
  • An understanding of the complexities of providing support to people with Acquired Brain Injury.
