We are seeking to appoint a part time (3 days per week) Family Support Worker to work across Darwin Hospitals, affiliated health services and the HeartKids SA/NT division state office based in North Adelaide.
About the Role
This position will support the HeartKids team to deliver safe and effective support services in collaboration with health and hospital staff, clients and other partners.
You will work closely with the team in SA/NT and the HeartKids national network to enable HeartKids to support children, young people and adults with childhood heart disease (CHD), and their families. You will contribute to the success of HeartKids and its relevance to clients and the general public and have an affinity for working directly with clients with complex health, emotional and financial needs.
Essential Qualifications
Certificate 4 in Community Services, Social Work and / or Nursing qualifications.
Must have an open driver's license and have or undertake Working with Children Clearance, Police Clearance and have or be able to attend Child Safe Environments Training (provided by HeartKids Ltd).

Good written and oral communication and negotiation skills.
Awareness of Childhood Heart Disease, trends, issues and challenges
