The opportunity

The CPL Service Manager engages local partners and stakeholders to position CPL within the community as the best practice leader in the provision of services to clients with various disability support needs. In this hands on operational and business development role, the Service Manager drives the provision of high quality services to support people to exercise choice and control to achieve their goals at home and in the community.

Responsibilities include:

  • Operationally and strategically leading the business to support and mentor CPL's people, volunteers and other support professionals through effective recruitment, induction, training and performance management activities
  • developing a range of innovative, creative, flexible and appropriate services for clients with disability support needs and maintaining an operational environment that is conducive to growth and diversity of client base
  • driving continuous improvement in business performance and effectively contributing towards achievement of CPL's vision and purpose
  • working proactively to identify and secure additional opportunities for business growth through successful partnerships and new service initiatives

To be successful you will have:

  • demonstrated high level experience in leading the design, development and implementation of innovative, flexible and appropriate services for people with support needs in the home and the community
  • proven advanced management skills, particularly in the areas of people leadership, employee scheduling, budget management, financial accountability and strategic planning
  • demonstrated ability to source and develop new business through existing and new networks
  • demonstrated high level business acumen and strong commercial focus
  • highly effective interpersonal skills, consultation and negotiation skills with a depth of knowledge of the community services sector
