Lead and manage the supervisors and case managers under the umbrella of Yulella Incorporated for the efficient and effective delivery of the Community Development Program.

Responsible to the Chief Executive Officer.

  • Responsible for the management of supervisors, case managers and work activities of the CDP.
  • Implementing directions from the CEO and the Board of Directors.
  • Provide the CEO with a monthly written report on the activities of the work projects.
  • Ensure all legislative and service agreement requirements are met.
  • Ensure all sites and offices are run in an efficient and effective manner meeting all health and safety requirements.
  • Working with Government, non government agencies, mines and local businesses in identifying activities and work possibilities for the CDP and Work for the Dole participants.

Duties;

Managing, supervising and supporting supervisors and case manager.

  • Develop a suitable staffing structure that meets the requirements of each project in consultation with the CEO.
  • With the CEO employ suitably qualified and or experienced staff to implement the projects.
  • Identify training needs through the three monthly and then annually performance review process. Organise the necessary training.
  • Ensure all staff have working with children and police clearances as well as senior first aid certificates. These are to be kept on employees files.
  • Hold regular staff meetings, these meetings are to have an agenda and minutes recorded.
  • Meet with the CEO fortnightly to discuss progress and any issues that may arise. A monthly written report needs to be submitted to the CEO for reporting to the Board of Directors.
  • Promotion and liaison with government, non government agencies, businesses, mines and the local Shire to identify job and activity opportunities.
  • The development of activities for participants on the work for the dole program.
  • Ensuring all activities and project are contributing to participants’ ability to be job ready.
  • Efficient operation of offices including but not limited to the maintenance and storage of records.
  • All personal information relating to participants is kept in a locked filing cabinet and updated as necessary.
  • Work with the CEO and accountant on developing budgets for each project and then monitoring income and expenditure ensuring the project stays within budget.
  • A  request for invoices for work in progress or completed need to go to the accountant for issue,
  • Ensure all reporting requirements are completed and submitted to the CEO for approval in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all health and safety requirements are met on all sites.
  • Other duties requested by the CEO.

SELECTION CRITERIA

ESSENTIAL

  • A tertiary qualification in community development or associated field.
  • Experience in working with disadvantaged community members.
  • Experience in supervising and supporting staff within the workplace
  • High level of interpersonal skills.
  • High level of communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work as a team member and to work alone.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently plan and organise own workload.
  • Police and working with children clearance/
  • A class drivers licence
