Service Manager – Mental Health

Help people to gain better mental health, and improve the quality of their lives.

 

Do you have what it takes to be a Service Manager with one of Australia’s leading mental health providers? A position has become available at the Adult and Extended Prevention and Recovery Care service (A&EPARC) service located in Narre Warren. The Adult PARC offers a short term (up to 28 days) recovery focused residential service for people, whilst the Extended PARC offers longer term support (up to 6 months). The focus for both services is on recovery, promoting self-education and linkages to the community.

 

Your role includes:

  • working full time, 38 hours per week on a fixed term contract until 30 June 2019, with possibility for extension
  • providing leadership and managing all aspects of the PARC Team and ensuring a high standard of service delivery to clients consistent with organisational values
  • overseeing the development of strengths based assessments for clients
  • working in partnership with clinical services and other key stake holders
  • overseeing the facilitation and design of group work aligned with individual recovery plans

You will:

  • have completed a tertiary qualification (minimum certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health related field as designated by Mind
  • have experienced working in the mental health field, particularly working within a recovery oriented framework
  • be ready to take on a challenge and be a positive influence on employees
  • have strong relationship building skills with staff, management and stakeholders
