UnitingCare Queensland (UCQ) provides health and community services to thousands of people every day of the year through its service groups – UnitingCare Health, UnitingCare Child and Family Services, Blue Care and ARRCS (Australian Regional and Remote Community Services).

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Regional Manager to join our UnitingCare Queensland Child and Family Services Team. This opportunity is Full Time and based in Brisbane.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Brisbane Regional Manager, you will be responsible for managing a broad range of services including Domestic and Family Violence, Homelessness Services, services for Seniors as well as leading the establishment and delivery of the Brisbane Recovery Service. The first of its kind in Queensland, the BRS is a three-stage evidence-based service providing 24/7 care to child and young people within the child protection system who are transitioning out of acute in-patient care.  As a leader in a client safe organisation, this is an exciting to time to join UnitingCare Queensland!

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Build, develop, lead and manage high performing teams across multiple services.
  • Build regional leadership capability within services and programs to ensure a high standard of service and compliance with State and Commonwealth legislation and associated accreditation/licensing standards.
  • Develop and implement supervision and communication strategies throughout client service programs
  • Provide expert, comprehensive and timely advice on key issues impacting on community services.
  • Develop and maintain effective networks, relationships and partnerships both internally and externally to the organisation, particularly with government bodies, community and other organisations that will support UCQ in delivering quality client outcomes.
  • Manage services within budget and in consultation with the General Manager, contribute to the budget planning cycle within specified accountability requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Tertiary Qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Social Work, Psychology or Social Science) as required by relevant service contract/s or acquisition of considerable skills and extensive and diverse relevant experience to an equivalent standard.
  • Extensive experience in leadership at a senior level.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage child and family services, with an understanding of specialist programs including understanding of contemporary community services, child protection and domestic and family violence including sector reform agendas..
  • Demonstrated ability to lead operational planning and participation in organisation-wide strategic planning.
  • Current drivers licence.
