Kalyra Neighbourhood Program Establishment Officer

The Program will be a membership-based group of individuals living independently within a 5-kilometer radius of Kalyra Belair. The members of this group will have access to:

• Local trades and services that have been screened to be safe and reliable and offered at discounted rates,

• An exciting range of social opportunities targeted to their interests,

• Opportunities to work together to identify and solve gaps/needs effecting them and their peers in the local community, through volunteering and community action.

 

Kalyra Communities staff and resources will support the Kalyra Neighbourhood Program. The Kalyra Heights Retirement Village will provide a Hub for social activities and meetings. Once established, the Neighbourhood Group will be self-organising with a Steering Committee supported by a dedicated, part-time, staff member. 

 

We are looking for an extraordinary community engager/ enabler/ facilitator with project management capabilities to get this community capacity building project established.

 

To be successful in this position you will need:

• Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision, exercise initiative and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work in productive collaboration with diverse community members for collective outcomes

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks and deliver agreed outcomes within timeframes
