The position
Are you interested in joining a small team of caseworkers who can make a difference in the lives of young people living in Out of Home Care? This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to work in an environment where you will be encouraged to work collaboratively with residential care staff and other internal and external stakeholders.
You will be providing casework services to young people which will assist in improving their well-being and support their goals and aspirations. How you ask? Through measures such as case plans, building and maintaining therapeutic relationships as well as undertaking holistic assessments just to name a few! These young people have complex needs and your practice will be based on a therapeutic framework that focuses on individual needs and acknowledges complex trauma and issues associated with attachment, abuse and neglect.
The candidate
We are looking for a practical and resourceful individual with qualifications in social work, psychology or counselling, and minimum 2 years case management experience in residential or foster care contexts. You will have experience in working with vulnerable young people and their families, particularly those who have been associated with the child protection system.
