The role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Supporter Relations Specialist to join our busy fundraising team to provide a high quality, timely and positive donor experience.

You will be responsible for providing customer service to current and potential donors as well as processing donations and executing donor related administration. Reporting to the Donor Direct Marketing Manager you will help to build relationships with donors to strengthen current and future campaigns and fundraising efforts. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to deepen their donor relations experience and is passionate about helping children facing cancer, and their families. This is a newly created role as we are investing in this area of Fundraising.

About you:

The position is ideal for someone who has a minimum of 3 years’ experience in customer/supporter services/relationship management role with a regular giving program.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following skills & experience:

  • Awareness and understanding of fundraising compliance and the key principles of the Privacy Act.
  • Experience working with a relational database or other data management systems.
  • Knowledge of best practice donor care and maintaining a donor centric methodology to enhance donor satisfaction.
  • Proven high level of customer service and relationship building skills.
  • Knowledge of donor attrition and retention trends and methods to ensure donor retention.
