The role
We are seeking committed Disability Support Workers for ongoing, casual shifts in and around the Inner Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Your primary responsibility will be to support our NDIS clients to maintain their independence at home or out in the community. This can involve providing community access, social support, personal care and helping around the home.
  
Desired personal qualities for this role include someone with a person-centred approach, who is proactive, energetic and excited to make a difference in people’s lives.
  
Eligibility criteria:
- Minimum of 3 months paid experience in supporting people with disabilities.
- A relevant qualification in Disability/Aged Care/Individual Support.
- Two relevant, professional and industry related reference checks.
- Must be willing to provide or obtain a Working with Children’s Check for employment purposes.
- Have a current, or willing be to obtain a First Aid (HLTAID003) and CPR (HLTAID001).
- Willing to undergo a police check (Australian police checks will be processed by HCA at no charge to you).
- A current Manual Handling certificate or willing to obtain one (training provided by HCA at no charge).
- Must be available to work nights and weekends.
