Interrelate is a community based, not-for-profit organisation that has been a leading provider of quality relationship services in New South Wales since 1926. We have a network of centres across metropolitan, regional and rural New South Wales. Each year, we help over 70,000 individuals, couples, families and children to develop better communication, effective solutions and strong relationships.

We are currently seeking a dedicated School Wellbeing Support Worker for our Caringbah team. ​This position in collaboration with the participating School, will work closely with, and/or as part of the school wellbeing committee or team to plan for and deliver student resilience and wellbeing services. ​This position will be located at Caringbah however, travel to Outreach locations will be required.

This role will be a Fixed Term Part Time role until 30 June 2019, the hours per week will be negotiated.​ Some weekend and evening work may be required.

Key Requirements:

  1. Minimum of a Certificate IV in Youth work, or an equivalent qualification. The qualification must include competencies in ‘mental health’ and ‘making appropriate referrals’
  2. Demonstrated ability to consult with the local community and relevant stakeholders to identify needs and priorities
  3. Understanding of, and sensitivity to, cross cultural issues; including family violence, social disadvantage and key issues of the local community
  4. High level of written and interpersonal communication skills, along with a demonstrated ability to network, liaise and negotiate effectively with a wide range of people
  5. Demonstrated experience in program development, implementation and review
  6. Demonstrated experience in group work and facilitation
  7. Highly developed administrative, organisational and multi-tasking skills
