  • Have experience providing support to people with a disability/disadvantage to gain skills, confidence and find employment.
  • Flexibility and availability to work at different times and days.
  • A current driver’s licence.
  • Satisfactory police security clearance will be required as part of the process
  • Current First Aid Certificate

Community Bridging Services (CBS) Inc. currently have a position available for an Employment Assistant (Support Worker) to join our client focussed Jobnet Employment Program team in Port Augusta.

Our Employment Assistants (Support Workers) guide, encourage, support and respond to different needs of our clients in order to maintain effective long-term employment.  CBS ensures our clients are given the opportunity to achieve positive outcomes, such as increased independence, skill development, improved quality of life and enjoyment whilst maintaining CBS programs.

We are seeking the following qualities, skills or experience:

  • patience, understanding and encouragement abilities
  • supporting participants to achieve pre-determined goals
  • happy and positive attitude
  • able to maintain privacy, confidentiality and dignity of clients
  • be caring of the physical and emotional well-being of clients
  • work as part of a team but also independently
  • availability at short notice would be beneficial
  • Certificate III in Disability Services would be an advantage
  • ability to take, type and prepare c34lient case notes.
