Transition to Work – Employment Engagement Officer
Colony 47 has been contracted by the Commonwealth Government to deliver a Transition to Work program (TTW) in Southern Tasmania until 2020. Transition to Work is a place where young Tasmanians aged 15–21 can work on landing a job, entering training or finishing Year 12. Transition to Work is located in Hobart, Glenorchy, Huonville, New Norfolk and Sorell, with outreach to all other areas of Southern Tasmania.
In this role you will:
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with a broad range of employers, employer organisations, local government and industry groups to identify current and future employment opportunities for participants.
- Secure vacancies and opportunities for Transition to Work participants from your network.
- Identify employers’ recruitment needs and processes to ensure participants are properly prepared and suitable for available vacancies.
- Work closely with TTW Youth Development Coaches to put forward suitable candidates to employers and advocate for individual participants.
- Achieve monthly targets.
- Conduct administration duties as required.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience in managing customer relationships.
- Experience in achieving and exceeding targets.
- Knowledge and experience in the employment services industry highly regarded.
- Experience working with youth an advantage.
Previous experience in employment services will be highly regarded. This role will be on a full-time basis, working 38 hours per week.
Qualifications
Relevant industry qualifications will be looked upon favourably.
