We have an exciting new position that has been created to bring innovative approaches to creating local job opportunities for the municipality and vulnerable communities.
This role will promote and coordinate the volunteer workforce at Banyule City Council. This includes administration, recruiting, training and support to both interns and volunteers at Banyule as well as the business units supporting internships and volunteer participation.
You will work closely with the Social Enterprise and Local Jobs Coordinator to develop frameworks, databases, programs and events whilst identifying opportunities and strategies to link residents to local employment opportunities.
You will bring innovative and contemporary ideas to the organisation and great collaboration skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
This is a unique role and we are seeking an enthusiastic individual with:
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline
- Demonstrated experience or capability to effectively manage, monitor and evaluate volunteer and internship programs.
- Experience in providing exceptional customer services.
- Demonstrated experiencing of working with diverse communities.
- Detailed understanding of policy and strategy development relating to the jobs market, volunteers and interns.
- Demonstrated administration experience in recruitment, training and Human Resources.
