Social Impact Program

1 x 0.7FTE maximum term 2 year contract

The Social Impact Program (SIP) Architect function is to embed the SIP way of working across the varied programs of CatholicCare Tasmania through the detailed co-design of the SIP Practice Framework and the support of the implementation.  The SIP Architect will work under the direction of the SIP Director to co-design initiatives, processes and resources for to develop SIP with a focus on ongoing monitoring and evaluation. SIP is a collaborative and creative place-based response to improve individual and community wellbeing.  Wellbeing and change at the community level is complex. To address these complexities, SIP works across programs and sectors within 7 interconnected domains – Education, Housing, Safety, Economics, Health, Spirituality and Community Engagement.  SIP works across these domains in specific place and time. Deep impact for SIP is measured by positive social and environmental changes in the community.   

SIP aims to both amplify existing assets and opportunities through more effective linkages as well as to co-create new innovations and disruptions that drive positive change. It is a people centred approach grounded in Catholic teaching that values the dignity and worth of each person and the role of a strong connected community to ensure that everyone thrives.

Essential requirements for this role are;

  • University degree in Education, Social Services, Health or Business.
  • Demonstrated involvement in university level research, evaluation and development of evidence based practice
  • Demonstrated experience working with government in a policy and funding capacity, both State and Federal
  • Experience in organisation wide strategic design and  development
  • Facilitation of organisation wide change management
  • High level written communication skills, including successful grants and tenders 
  • Demonstrated creative and diverse group facilitation and presentation skills
  • Driver’s License
