About the role

• 2 X Permanent Part Time 14 hour per week positions available  
• Working for Independent Support Options Service

I'm looking for a flexible support worker to assist me during the weekdays. My funding includes a car that allows me to go to my favourite places.
A lot of the day is spent managing my environment to help me stay calm and relaxed, so I need someone who is patient. I also need a bit of help with eating and personal care to keep me looking good and feeling fresh.
I like being picked up from my house and spending time outdoors; going for walks is one of my favourite things. I enjoy feeling the sun on my back. I enjoy having lunch out, spending time at an Art studio, picnics, BBQ's and sensory activities.
When I'm relaxed I have a wicked sense of humour, great smile and infectious laugh.

Remuneration

• Pay according to Social, Community Home Care and Disability Services Industry Modern Award 2010 (SCHADS) Level 3 Pay Point 1 – 4 negotiable subject to qualifications and experience.
• Salary Packaging available as Greenacres Disability Services is a Not for Profit Organisation.

Skills and experience

Essential Criteria

1. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with person centred support for people with disability.
2. Demonstrated experience in supporting people with complex medical/psychological & exceptional needs.
3. Demonstrated experience in completing incident reports, diary notes and seizure reports to the standard required.
4. Certificate III in Disability Work or equivalent discipline or willing to obtain.
5. Current National Criminal Record Check less than 6 months old.
6. First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain.
7. Current NSW Drivers Licence.
