The Organisation
Nyamba Buru Yawuru (NBY) means "This is the place of Yawuru". NBY Ltd. manages the day to day business of the Yawuru Native Title Holders and is engaged in a diverse range of projects which help to provide social, cultural, environmental and financial sustainability for the future of Yawuru people.
The Role
This role will require you to:
- Lead the continuous improvement of the HIPPY (Home Interactive Program for Parents and Youngsters) program
- Participate in the design and development of innovative programs to promote Early Childhood development opportunities
- Engage with stakeholders to identify new initiatives and implement positive change in the Early Childhood sector
- Provide daily supervision and support to a team of HIPPY home tutors
- Implement and maintain Early Childhood systems, programs and resources
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working in an early childhood service and ability to facilitate early intervention programs for children and their families.
- Experience leading and managing a team
- Strong administrative, organisational skills and time management skills
- Experience in working with the local communities and building local networks and relationships with service providers
- Previous knowledge of barriers faced by Yawuru people and the Yawuru community as a whole
