Qualified child, youth & family Casemanager with a strong background in Child Protection / Domestic Violence required for a temporary contract with a reputable Not-For-Profit organisation in Western Sydney. In this role you will be required to use to work intensively with at risk children, young people and families with the aim of improving parenting capacity and increasing the safety of children. 

Main duties:

  • Manage caseload of clients with complex needs and trauma using resilence practise framework
  • Undertake compehensive assessments, monitor and review case plans, identify any areas of risk and strengths
  • Coordinate support with other relevant service providers, such as government departments, schools, GP's

The ideal candidate:

  • Degree level or above qualifications in social work, psychology, social science or other relevant subject.  
  • Minimum of 2 years  experience working within a community services and / or child and family social work environment at Case manager or a senior practitioner level
  • Demonstrated expertise in Child Protection legislation and risk assessments. 
  • Good negotiating and influencing skills with a range of stakeholders such as community and government groups
  • Demonstrated experience working with, and understanding of, early childhood development, families experiencing disadvantage and current child protection issues.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, including computer skills.
  • Current NSW driver’s licence
