Our client is one of Australia's leading disability and care service providers. The Organisation provides a wide range of services to individuals with a disability and their families, including: NDIS, Respite, Residential Care, In Home Support, Day Services and On Call support.

About the Role
Due to substantial growth we are recruiting for a full time Senior Rostering Co-ordinator to work alongside the Talent Management and HR Team based in the Brisbane Office.

The role includes developing, monitoring, organising and rostering staff to fill a range of shifts across a 24/7 shift pattern including shift workers and numerous work locations.  This position will be responsible for approximately 230-250 employees in this division.

The role will involve the ability to supervise, recruit and train and manage business trainees providing rostering administration support.

The successful applicant will have experience and knowledge in at least one the following scheduling systems:

  • Eziroster Scheduling
  • Ezitracker Scheduling
  • Office 365 ( Teams ) and Staff Hub

The role requires :

  • A strong understanding of Fairwork requirements and Employment Agreement (EBA) compliance
  • The ability to create, monitor and maintain compliant employee rosters
  • The ability to manage, plan and coordinate leave planning for the organisation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • The ability to provide after hours support and coordinate and manage on call / shift replacement services for shift workers and after hours staff services.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment which involves high levels of phone communication and the use of a range of computer software programmes.

 You will be responsible for building effective and compliant rosters and liaising both with staff and directly with Division Managers to meet their staffing requirements.

The role includes telephone On Call duties to co-ordinate shift replacement which includes evenings and weekends on a rotating basis.

This will also involve ensuring staff have excellent shift and activity plan instructions.

You will need to have extensive experience using computer based scheduling and rostering systems.

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will have / be :

  • Experience in a similar role organisation
  • A highly motivated, self-starter with strong communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously in a high demand environment that includes rapid responses
  • Proven ability to prioritise workload and multi-task to ensure work commitments are completed within timescales
  • Experience with rostering and shift replacement that includes emergency and frequent shift changes
  • Experience with timesheet checking, collation or payroll assistance
  • Highly developed communication and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of and the ability to apply award conditions including ensuring compliance of shift rostering
  • Willingness to work flexible hours 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of a range of computer systems and software including rostering software database systems
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake detailed work and maintain information systems with a high degree of accuracy
  • Maintain the rostering of the client data system including reporting and database management
