What we are looking for?
ACARES is looking for passionate and committed Disability Support Workers to join our organisation. We are keen to speak to people that are interested in establishing a career within the dynamic disability sector.
We have a great opportunity to take on regular, ongoing shifts in various locations within the Sutherland Shire, especially within the Cronulla area. The shifts will be to support our clients within their own home and out in the community as well as provide personal care and therapy support.
Previous experience with Spinal Cord Injuries, Brain Injuries and Mental Health issues will be highly regarded. Previous experience working with clients who display challenging behaviours is required.
Various shifts available including 24/7 programs.
Mandatory requirements:
*National police check
*Employee working with children check
*Current first aid and CPR certificates
*Previous experience supporting clients in a home and community care setting
Highly desirable:
*Certificate IV Disability or similar
*Prior complex care experience
*Prior experience supporting clients with Brain Injuries/Spinal Cord Injuries
