This versatile role is a split 50:50 between Family Support work and Counselling. You will primarily offer counselling to children and young people but also their families. This will be working with families and children who have suffered trauma, disrupted attachment and are subject to child protection involvement.
A rewarding but at times difficult role. You will be supported by a team of fellow counsellors and support workers based out of Mount Isa
This role will involve travelling across a remote area to visit families in need.
For this role you must have:
- Relevant degree or qualification (Social work, psychology, behavioural sciences)
- Minimum of three years’ experience with target population
- Valid Working with Children’s Check
- Up to date police check
- C Class driver’s license
