Recruiting now for Disability Support Workers and Youth Support Workers in Belfield. Care for young people with disabilities in a respite setting and community access settings.

• Provide support to young people with physical and/or intellectual disabilities in respite setting
• Assist with activities of daily living, community support and empowerment
• Work with complex care needs and challenging behaviours
• Confident in support young people during community access outings

 
What you'll need to succeed 
 
• Minimum 12 months paid experience as a Disability Support Worker
• Experience supporting people who have challenging behaviours 
• Hold a current Australian Drivers Licence 
• Experience personal care and manual handing
• Willing to do shift work including emergency/on call work 
• Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain one
• Hold a current Working with Children Check

Candidates must be skilled in redirection and the use of behaviour support plans. 

The successful applicant must be willing to undertake a National Police Check at the final stages of the recruitment process at a cost of $43.
