Healthcare Australia are currently seeking to employ numerous Disability Support Workers in Bayside and South Eastern Suburbs.
HCA are currently looking for candidates who come from an Aged Care or AIN background and would like to make the transition into Disability.
We are looking for diverse, empathetic and nurturing people with a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license to complement our existing community care workforce. Your primary responsibility will be to support our NDIS clients to maintain their independence at home.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting clients in daily living needs (personal/hygiene care and medications)
Domestic assistance (cleaning and meal preparations)
Supporting clients with PEG feeding
Manual handling
Community access
Any other requirements as specified on clients care plan
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Drivers License, Full comprehensive insurance & access to your own vehicle
Willing to travel
Good Verbal English
Flexibility as shift times can vary (night shift availability is a must)
Minimum availability to work 3 days per week and 20 hours per week
A great attitude
A passion for health care and disability services
Self-Motivated
Organised
Committed & reliable
Must be able to pass a National Police Check
Must be able to pass a DCSI Working with Childrens’ Check & Disability Check
Current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain
Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain
Current Manual Handling certificate or willingness to obtain one
Certificates in Aged Care, Nursing and Disability are Advantageous
Candidates with any personal care experience from various industries are encouraged to apply
