The organisation
With an agenda to raise awareness and support people living with dementia this national NFP has played a significant part in advocating for older vulnerable Australians across all levels of government right through to local communities.
In response to changes within the aged care sector, and with the burgeoning increase in dementia prevalence, this organisation is seeking to undergo a major transformation to remain at the forefront of the industry, delivering quality support services to a wider audience and improving aged care practices across the board through provision of education and consultancy services.
The role
To generate a local increase in awareness and subsequent access to funding, this peak body is now seeking to recruit an exceptional person to spear head their efforts across VIC. In this role you will maintain a watching brief of local issues and opportunities, develop local partnerships to achieve common strategic goals, and where possible leverage opportunities to increase funding and win fee for service assignments.
About you
Your prior success is likely to include the following attributes and experiences: 5 years business development experience maximizing relationships with government and other funders Advocacy for social change at all levels Knowledge of and/or experience in the rapidly changing aged care sector care models and funding Experience working with carers, families and those living with chronic conditions Strong stakeholder relationship skills with the ability to foster ongoing opportunities and influence key funding decision makers. A tertiary qualification in a relevant degree. The rewards
