Independent Community Living Australia is a community organisation established in 1987. We provide services and supported accommodation options for people with mental health and/or other disabilities. We offer services that are targeted at supporting individuals to achieve their personal goals, increase their confidence, independence and opportunity for social and community connection. Support services can be provided in an individual's home or our accommodation sites.

About the role

The Support Coordinator will work closely with the Support Coordination team.  The role is part-time, 3 days a week with a potential to increase.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with NDIS participants to understand participant's support needs and preferences and assisting participants to choose preferred providers.  
  • Assisting NDIS participants to achieve their goals through the management and coordination of support and service provision.
  • Developing service agreements between NDIS participants and service providers.
  • Finding and linking participants to appropriate services, organisations and community.

Essential Criteria

  • You have a proven ability to relate to, and engage with people who have mental health and/or other disabilities
  • You have excellent personal and interpersonal communication skills
  • You are reliable and are able to work independently and in a team
  • You have previous experience working in a similar NDIS role
  • A current driver's license
  • An up to date Police Criminal Record Check
  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • Willing to obtain a Working with Children/Vulnerable People Check
