The Recruitment and Volunteer Coordinator role is a 14 month contract position, responsible for the delivery of effective management of volunteers in programs that support children and young people with disability. The role involves recruitment, induction, training, support and retention of volunteers and staff in programs including school holidays, weekend recreation and HOST Interchange. This position is also responsible for planning, developing and managing MOIRA community events.
The Recruitment and Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for maintaining legislative compliance, best practice and relevant volunteer frameworks to enable successful issue resolution.
Duties will include:
- Recruitment, induction, training, support and retention of volunteers
- Recruitment, induction, training and support of recreation support staff
- Ensuring compliance to legislative requirements such as Working with Children Checks and Disability Workers Exclusion Scheme.
- Maintaining volunteer rosters
- Planning, developing and managing MOIRA community events
- Working closely with other members of the Community Support team to deliver programs
