Working under the direction of the Registered/ Enrolled Nurses, as a Personal Carer you will be providing person centred, high quality care to our residents.
You will demonstrate compassion, sensitivity and maturity to provide personal care to our residents, including bathing, dressing, toileting and other support services depending on the individual residents needs. You will engage with our residents to enrich their lives and support their psychosocial needs, assisting residents who may require specialised care, including dementia care and palliative care. You will embody our values to meet our mission to support people in their choice of health, wellbeing and lifestyle, and our vision to value and respect human life.
These Casual roles are based at Stretton Residential Aged Care Facility. Variety of shifts across a 14 day roster.
What will you need:
- Cert III qualifications in Aged Care (or equivalent)
- National Police check
- Ability to use computer systems to maintain care records
- Medication Assist Competency
- Compassion for and understanding of the elderly
- Must be flexible with days and shift times.
- Friendly approachable manner
- Experience working in an Aged Care Facility (minimum 1 year experience required)
