About the role
As the Reconciliation Project Officer, you will support the Manager Diversity and Inclusion through governance and reporting on the status of all Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) commitments.  You will work with stakeholders to deliver on national LWB-wide RAP commitments, including developing an Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Employment Strategy and auditing our list of partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations.  This is as a full time position located in our Sydney, CBD Office.
  

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage RAP reporting at a national level, working with the regions to ensure that all regional RAP data is captured in a way that rolls up to a holistic, national view
  • Prepare a wide range of RAP related communications
  • Play an active role in the development of the next LWB RAP
  • Research and analysis to support the development of projects and related policies
  • Prepare a range of project related documents, including status updates, project reports, minutes and discussion papers
  • Work collaboratively with State Lead Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Initiatives team members in undertaking RAP related tasks and implementing project plans  
Skills & Experience
  • Must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander decent
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting projects /or project delivery in a large or high transactional organisation
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, and ability to think laterally and strategically
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including peers, employees, external organisations, funding bodies and government agencies
  • Demonstrated experience in managing competing priorities and delivering outcomes within agreed timeframes and quality standards
  • Excellent written communication skills, creating communication pieces including newsletters and social media content, papers, reports and other material
  • Proficient ability in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
