We are currently seeking casual Community Support Workers for our clients in Wagga Wagga for ongoing and and ADHOC shifts.
These are ongoing programs that run 24h a day, 7 days a week. The successful worker will be someone with the flexibility to work short and long shifts and at times covering for other team members. The shifts will be a variety of tasks such as personal care, domestic care, shopping, transport and social support.
Essential:
- Experience and/or training using hoists & lifters.
- Experience assisting with personal care.
- Experience in one or all of the following; aged care, mental health and disability support
- First Aid Certificate
- Driver's License and reliable vehicle
- Practical, active and caring personality
- Working with Children's Check
- Police clearance
Desirable:
- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability or Community Services
- Training in blood sugar monitoring, catheter care, peg feeding & bowel care.
- Manual handling training/certification
- Experience working with clients who have spinal injuries
- Training/Certification in bowel care
- Open availability
- Training/certification in medication administration
