Global Disability & Health Care Services is a leading Recruitment agency offering work to experienced Disability Care Workers. We have work in a variety of Sydney suburbs but in particular we have a need for staff at South West of Sydney - HIinchinbrook and surrounding suburbs. 

We require  staff with minimum 2 year experience caring for clients with Challenging Behaviours and Mental Health issues. Ideally Support worker with a youth work or corrections health background. PART training would also be advantageous.

You must also be available to take a variety of shifts including nights and weekends.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in Disability work and Youth work

  • Minimum 2 years disability experience

  • Previous experience in behaviour support

  • Current first aid certificate

  • Must have a current Working with Children Check and National Police Check

  • Must have current drivers licence

  • Capacity to identify and manage risks to ensure safety for all.

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills and good command of the English language

 

DESIRABLE

  • Certificate 3 or 4 in Disability
  • Challenging Behaviour experience
  • Youth work experience
  • Medication Management Course
  • Epilepsy & Emergency Medication experience
  • Child protection training
  • Knowledge of the Disability Inclusion Act 2014
  • Knowledge of person centred planning and active support
