ABOUT THE ROLE
We have a vacant position for a Day Club Assistant to join our teams in Alexander Heights,Bull Creek and Osborne Park on a casual basis.
As a Day Club Assistant you will be responsible for implementing and facilitating and small group activities & outings for Day Club clients along with the provision of personal support and care to clients as directed and guided by care plans.
We are looking for candidates who are available for a minimum of 3 shifts a week and are flexible to work full time hours when leave coverage is required.
To apply you must be available between Monday and Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm.
Duties include but are not limited to;
- Provide appropriate social support for clients by driving engaging inclusive activities
- Support the rights, interests and needs of the client
- Research and develop activities that are suitable and relevant for Day Club clients
- Pick up and drop off clients requiring transport assistance
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Staff at our Day Clubs provide a safe and stimulating environment with therapeutic activities and outings tailored to meet the needs of our clients. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with the ability to work as part of a small team.
- Experience in aged care and a recognised Therapy or Community Services qualification (Cert III/IV)
- Possess a valid "C" Class drivers licence and happy to drive the 12 seater commuter bus
- Previous experience working with people living with dementia
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to provide a National Police Clearance certificate (less than 6 months old or a receipt)
- Ability to successful complete a Physical Assessment and Reference checking
