- Must have demonstrated experience supervising, training and recruiting volunteers

This role is a Maternity Leave contract that will need your commitment for up to 12 months. The person will need to be super organised and able to juggle a log or people and projects at one time, confident and efficient.
The Company:
The organisation keeps families close by providing a home away from home for regional WA families who have a sick child receiving hospital treatment in Perth.
The Role:
- Must be able to start on the 20th August 2018.
- Reporting to the Operations Manager
- Ensuring volunteers are recruited, trained and retained in all spaces
- Scheduling volunteers to meet the needs of the House and PCH, taking int account the numbers available, times available, skills and competencies
- Manage volunteer applications and schedule and facilitate Volunteer Information Sessions
- Recruiting and selecting an adequate supply of appropriate volunteers
- Ensuring police and child checks are completed
- Managing flow of applicants according to House and PCH requirements
- Managing the volunteer's induction and orientation needs
- Monitoring and managing volunteer's performance and reviews and responding to any concerns
- Ensuring the process of handover to volunteers at the end of each week is comprehensive
- Create a strong pool of volunteers to cover areas that are required to be staffed by volunteers
The Person:
Essential:
- You will need to be a high performing Volunteer Co-Ordinator with solid skills and experience that demonstrates your success in previous roles
- Have successfully managed a team of people from diverse backgrounds\worked in an environment that has required good influencing skills and high levels of diplomacy
- Experience in managing volunteer services and/or service-based activities in health or social environments
- General office administration
- Rostering and scheduling experience
- Strong computer skills
Desirable:
- Train/trainer experience
- Worked in a strong focused customer service environment
- Experience working in diverse and life challenging situations
- Working in the NFP sector
- Experience in Staff/Volunteer recruitment
- Database management
