The Position

St John of God Accord is a division of St John of God Health Care dedicated to providing support to people with intellectual disabilities. The overall aim is to enhance the quality of life for clients through development and provision of support options that are aligned to the personal ambition and need of each client.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and dynamic Manager to provide leadership and direction to the Community, Social & Recreational Services team across the western region. This will include the development, implementation and management of day programs and service delivery to ensure that client requirements and NDIS standards are met.

This position will be offered on a permanent, full time basis, working 76 hours per fortnight.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Ability to work within and contribute to the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Diploma or Degree in Disability studies or relevant discipline.
  • First Aid Level 2 and CPR.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability within a complex environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in operational management of disability support services under the NDIS environment.
  • Competence in the development, delivery and evaluation of community engagement services program.
  • Sound understanding government funded service provision.
  • Good understanding of financial management and funding models.
  • Ability to build constructive relationships with key stakeholders.
  • In depth working knowledge of current legislation.
  • Ability to implement and drive strategic direction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve team outcomes.
  • Drivers Licence.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills.
  • Ability to interpret and understand statistical data (numerical and analytical skills).
