Community Fundraising Team Leader

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the Community Fundraising Manager to implement local tactical plans for all signature events, including Light the Night, World’s Greatest Shave and U.G.L.Y Bartender of the Year
  • To attract, retain and grow support from community supporters
  • This role is responsible for participating in and leading the day-to-day application of face-to-face and personal contact (telephone) with community members to engage and activate their support
  • Coordinate all third party community fundraising requests
  • Personally manage a pipeline of supporters across signature events and third party fundraising
  • Build relationships with third party community fundraisers
  • Identify, engage, support and liaise with local community fundraising groups
  • Coordinate daily prioritisation of tasks across the team and assign responsibility to ensure campaign milestones are met in accordance with the budget and national strategy
  • Provide weekly reporting to the team – identifying areas of focus for the week ahead
  • Contribute to performance and development planning, by conducting joint performance reviews of team members with the Community Fundraising Manager
Skills & Attributes
  • Community/events fundraising experience – 2 years ideally
  • Proven ability to manage and develop effective relationships with community fundraisers
  • Experience managing third party community fundraising events
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to team lead junior members of staff (more of a support)
