Job Prospects is a leading jobactive and Disability Employment Services – Employment Support Service (DES-ESS) provider that works with jobseekers to gain and sustain employment and with employers to recruit and maintain their workforce.  Job Prospects provided services to more than 47,700 people of all ages last year.

Job Prospects is now seeking an Aboriginal Employment Liaison to join the team.

Duties of the successful applicant include:

  • Building mutually beneficial relationships with employers, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations and communities, Registered Training Organisations and Apprenticeship Support Australia centres.
  • Developing effective links and negotiating employment options for Job Prospects’ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander jobseekers with employers across the state.
  • Supporting and developing specific initiatives, strategies and linkages targeting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander jobseekers.
  • Attending career expos, forums and other networking events to promote Job Prospects.
  • Providing thorough Post Placement Support to employers and jobseekers placed in employment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience working effectively in a service/program in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander sector is desirable.
  • Proven successful experience in a sales and/or customer contact role is desirable.
  • Proven experience in the Employment Services Industry in a coordinator role is desirable.
  • Possession of a current valid Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive is required.
