Our NSW State Government client is one of the largest providers of social housing in the world, providing a range of housing solutions to meet the needs of today’s community. In partnership with the community, industry and individuals, they provide safe, decent and affordable housing opportunities for those most in need so that they can live with dignity, find support if needed and achieve sustainable futures.

They are currently seeking great individuals to join their Tenancy Team in Hurstville, for an estimated 3-month temporary contract with a strong potential to extend. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing a diverse range of services relating to application, tenancy and property management.

In this role you will be responsible for but not limited to the following –
  • Makes an assessment based on the information provided to determine eligibility for Housing NSW products and services. 
  • Work collaboratively with internal specialists and external service providers and make referrals where additional support requirements are identified to better meet client needs. 
  • Maintains call records, system entries and client/service databases in line with record management guidelines to ensure that information is accurate and up to date. 
  • Undertakes outbound calls to clients to facilitate the completion of specialised and ad-hoc projects including client wellbeing checks
  • Undertakes service quality checks and follow-up on referrals, applications and tenancy/housing related issues. 
  • Manage tenancies and support clients to maintain successful tenancies.
  • Investigate and action complaints relating to any breaches of the Residential Tenancies Agreement
  • Conducting in home property inspections and educating Tenants on their agreements and obligations
  • Provides administrative support including correspondence processing and reporting to facilitate the completion of the contact centre’s endorsed work. 
  • Manage client information to ensure confidentiality, accuracy and integrity
To secure this great assignment you will have the following –
  • Strong planning and prioritising skills
  • Proven experience in working with clients with complex support requirements
  • Previous system experience with Excel, Outlook, Word and TRIM
  • Current Drivers Licence 
  • Willingness to complete a Criminal Records Clearance
  • Empathetic and supportive nature
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
