We're currently implementing new initiatives that meet the needs of younger veterans and address issues affecting today's military family. As part of this evolution, we're looking for an Employment Program Officer to work within our Transition to Employment Program.
About the Role:
Responsibilities within this role will include but not be limited to:
- Act as the first point of contact for all incoming Employment Program related queries
- Coordinate incoming expression of interest,assess eligibility and complete initial intake assessment
- Provide support to the Employment Program Coordinator to ensure all third-party provider service levels are met
- Provide clients with career direction assistance, research career opportunities and provide direct links to education providers and employers
- Participate in initiatives designed to increase the public profile and awareness of RSL Queensland Employment Program
- Foster client relationships to ensure positive client experience in the program, in accordance with RSL Employment Program guidelines for Client Management
- Undertake scheduled check-ins with clients post activities, and administer feedback survey as per RSL Employment Monitoring and Evaluation guidelines
- Update and maintain client files and activities on CRM and EP Teams tracking system
About You:
The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate the following:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role or community engagement experience
- Cert IV (or higher) endorsed qualification in Employment Services and Career Development (or progress towards or a willingness to progress towards)
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with clients, show empathy and work in highly sensitive environments
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to deadlines and have a self-driven attitude
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated organisation, research and coordination skills
- Confident and proficient in use of Microsoft Office
- Understanding of the ADF environment and its unique sensitivities (desirable)
- Member of professional body such as Career Development Association of Australia (desirable)
