ARC Support Services is a company owned and operated by St Giles Limited. ARC Support Services Ltd provides assistance, rehabilitation and care to people of all ages. We are a state-wide organisation with our main office based in Launceston.
ARC Support Service operates supported independent living and individualised in-home support in the Hobart area.
The Position
We are seeking an experienced disability practitioner for the role of Team Leader to oversee the operations of this program and to support staff to ensure they are working within the guidelines of the organisation and the NDIS. The role is hands on support with administration duties, which ensures the Team Leader is able to mentor staff and lead by example. The hours are a minimum of 20 hours per week with the ability to work up to 38 hours. The successful candidate will also need to be willing to participate in the state-wide after hour's service. In addition to this, the successful person will step up in the absence of the coordinator to oversee all southern services.
To be successful in this position you will need the following:
- Advanced support skills in working with people living with disability.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing support plans.
- Understanding of social inclusion concepts and positive engagement
- Highly effective written and oral communication skills.
- Experience supervising a team of disability support professionals.
- Ability to teach through role modelling and mentoring.
- Relevant qualifications within the disability or other community service sectors. Relevant tertiary qualifications are a bonus but not essential.
- Have an understanding and commitment to continuous improvement, customer service and quality
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously.
- Physically fit and able to be on the go.
Essential requirements:
- Minimum Diploma level qualification or extensive relevant experience.
- Experience in mentoring and coaching others
- Willingness to undertake further required training.
- A current drivers licence
