About Marist180

Marist180 (www.marist180.org.au) is a not-for-profit organisation committed to creating positive change for vulnerable young people and their families. Following a successful application to deliver the Intensive Therapeutic Care contract (replacing Out of Home Care in NSW), Marist180 is now seeking applications from industry professionals including Youth Workers, Case Managers, House Managers, Allied Health Professionals and Therapeutic Specialists.

 

The position

As a result of growth and expansion in multiple locations, we are seeking a proactive and self-disciplined individual to join a small and supportive team. Under the guidance of both the Program and Quality Manager and the Residential Services Manager, this role will allow you to work in collaboration with multiple stakeholders both within and outside of the agency to ensure our casual staffing pool aligns with organisational needs at all times.

You will oversee and manage the sourcing, recruitment, induction, and learning and development needs of our casual pool of youth workers within the Therapeutic Services Directorate, and will be required to travel intrastate within NSW when needed. Through supervision and reflective practice, you will manage and facilitate:

  • Training and induction for all new and current casuals,
  • Debriefing and feedback,
  • shift allocation and elements of rostering, in line with House Managers and Care Team,
  • as well as performance management/staffing issues within our casual pool.

The candidate

This role varies on a daily basis – if you pride yourself on quality and self-discipline, then this role is for you! We need someone who is committed to building the capability of our casual pool by supporting and mentoring our youth workers to succeed in delivering consistent care for our clients.

As a minimum; you will need to possess:

  • a Diploma in Youth Work, Community Services or similar
  • extensive experience in facilitating training as well as staff supervision; and
  • demonstrated experience working with young people who have experience complex trauma

Candidates who have experience working with young people in residential care or foster care and/or have completed or are completing a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment are encouraged to apply.
